Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!

     We would like to invite you to the Second “Unique Book Fair” which is to be held in Moscow from the 4 ^th  till the 7^th of February 2010.

     The main subjects of the Fair are the following –book as a work of art, the history of the book an the book today.

   The goals of the Fair:

      - to keep the book culture traditions and to develop them today                               

    - to show the contemporary book as a result of mutual inspired work of authors, artists, book industry professionals, graphic designers, publishers

      -   Renovation of the meaning of the book as a part of national culture.

     The first Fair which was held in Moscow in February from 8 till 10, 2009 in the building of Moscow Government had 50 exhibition stands. You could find there publishing companies, museums, antique book sellers, governmental and private book collections, illustrated books and photo collections, antiquaries collections. During the Fair visitors could found out more about the very rare book memorials, the tradition of the book manufacturing, the best examples of typography and illustrated publications and also the past and the present of book manufacturing, typography and book bindery. There were a lot of single copies of books or the books that were published in limited editions.

      The main displays contained the following:

      - the books of the 18^th -20^th century from the Russian Governmental Public History Library

      - exhibits from the Private Book Museum collection

      - children books unique graphic arts and classical photography from the private collections

      - the unique modern publications

      There were held a number of events during the fair:

      - interviews with authors, publishers, artists, restorers

      - the  speeches of experts for rare, antique and contemporary books

      - the presentation of unique book projects and collections

      - the workshops for students and schoolchildren on book manufacturing

     The Fair was attended by over 3000 people in three days. The fair was broadcasted by the 4 TV channels, 5 radio stations and in over 10 print media publications.

      In May of 2009 the “Unique Book” Project took part in the 15^th International “Svet Knihy” Book Fair in Prague (from the 14^th till the 17^th of May) as the honorary participant. The display attracted experts and ordinary visitors. It was considered as the most attractive and spectacular stand.

      In October of 2009 the “Unique Book” Project was presented on the Russian national exhibition stand during Madrid International Book Fair. In November of 2009 The “Unique Book” participated in Vienna International Book Fair (from the 12^th till the 15^th of November).

     The organizers of the Second “Unique Book Fair” are confident about fruitful cooperation with publishing companies, experts, curators, collectors, creators of books who consider books as a multidimensional work of art. And we would like to invite all the companies which show the sincere interest in book industry to take part in the Fair which will be held in the building of Moscow Government at Novy Arbat-36    from 4^th till 7^th of February 2010.
